Blowing Bubbles
iHeartFaces is posting photos this week about bubbles. I have the perfect picture, even though it's not a "person" so I thought I would submit it. Zoe was hot and took a dip in her pool and just stuck her nose under and started blowing bubbles!
Sorry iHeartFaces, but I can't get the link to post for some reason. I've tried but it won't copy!

Jumping for Joy
Just for fun, I'm posting another picture of the fur kids on
I love it when they have a category for pets. I love taking pictures of my pups! In this one they weren't just jumping for joy, there was a frisbee involved in there somewhere!!
Take a minute and check out the other pets. There are always some really good ones!

Flowers of Hawaii
These hibiscus were growing in downtown Waikiki
This was growing in a flower bed at a beach bar in Waikiki
These two were growing at Tyler's HPU Winward Campus
These two I spotted on our hike up to Manoa Falls
I saw this one growing on a wall as we were leaving Haunama Bay
These two were both growing in the beds at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Zoe
I've entered this picture of Zoe, taken last summer, on this photography blog. They also take pictures of kids and adults but the only good pictures I seem to have of "eyes" is of my pups. I have another good one of Charlie but I think you're only supposed to enter one. Maybe next time. There are lots of good photos so I don't think our chances are very good but wish us luck!! Check out their website by clicking on the iheartfaces button above.

Dogs on the Beach...
I was amazed at how many dogs were on the beach in Hawaii. Most were running loose, following their people. These are just a few that I managed to get pics of, most of them taken on just one day. The only beach we didn't see dogs on was Waikiki. I wish I had started taking pictures of these dogs sooner as there were so many I didn't get pictures of.

Birds of Hawaii
Surprisingly, at least to me, I didn't see that many birds on our recent trip to Hawaii. The first bird I saw (and heard) was this little brown one.
It was just a Mourning Dove and it looked just like the ones we have here in Michigan but it had a very different song.
This bird was spotted at the Polynesian Cultural Center
These birds were spotted in the parking lot at the beach park near Chinaman's Hat. I was able to google the read headed one and it is some type of cardinal, though considered an "alien" bird to Hawaii, not a native. I don't know what the brown one is though.
These next two birds were spotted on the campus of Hawaii Pacific University when we went to visit Tyler's campus on the Winward side. I've never seen them before either.
I'm sure everyone recognizes these last two. While I spotted chickens like these all over the island, I had a heck of a time getting a picture of them. These two were on the North Shore in the parking lot where we bought our shave ice.
